Final Reflection Essay

Talking art 2 was a great choice. Even though there was many projects I struggled in and there was many things that I didn't like, I still learned a lot and there was many things that I've enjoyed. Art 2 showed me more about my own personalities and made me come out my comfort.
During art 2 my most challenging project we did was the Chuck close self portrait. This was my most challenging project because this project had to look the most realistic. Also by this project having to be a drawing of myself I wanted it to be perfect. The hardest part of making this portrait was scaling the picture and the piece of paper that was used.
The project that I enjoyed the most was are free choice quarter, I enjoyed this the most because I was able to do what ever I wanted and I believed I did a great job. I decided to use paint and for the first time while in art 2 it was very successful.
My favorite type of art style is nonrealistic, this is my favorite because it doesn't necessarily have to be perfect. Even if you mess up others my not notice it because it doesn't have to be perfect.
During this whole year with art 2 my worst experience had to be when we used clay. Every time we used clay it was an disaster. I would make a huge mess, never fully finish my project or if I did it never looked like I wanted it too.
In conclusion, art 2 showed me that I liked nonrealistic projects better than others. I struggle more in realistic drawings and that I don't like using clay at all.

Personal Logo Design

The reason why I drew this was because we were learning about logos and we had to make are own.  The materials I used to make this was pencil and color pencils.  The hardest part of doing this project was deciding what to draw. After that the whole process was pretty easy.

Q.3 Free Choice

The reason why I choose to draw this was becuase I wanted something I could be able to hang in my room.  The materials i used to make this was pencil and and colored pencils. The easiest part was coloring the project, the hardest was writing the words.  This was a struggle becuase I used fancy hand writing that I normally dont use.

Q.4 Free Choice

The reason why I drew that was because, I wanted to try and draw something colorful and pretty.  To make this i had to use many different color of paints to blend together and make the water, sky and sun.  The hardest part of painting this art piece was painting the sky I didn't know what colors i should use to make it seem like a real sunset and it wasn't apart of the water.  The easiest part was painting the water, it was just simple blues and purples.

Chuck Close Self Portrait

The reason why i drew this was because it was an assignment for art class.  To make this I was suppose to take a photo of myself and draw a realistic picture of myself.  The hardest part to make this was griding my papers to start drawing.  The easiest part of this art piece was drawing my background.

Water Potraits

The reason why I painted this was to show some of my insecurities in art.  To make this painting Ihad first used pencil to draw my model then I used water color paints to paint everything. My insecurities was that I'm very skinny and I have very short hair. The hardest part of making this was trying to make a skin color. The easiest was actually draw the art piece.

View Finding Drawings

The colors I used to blend for the first circle were blue black and purple for ski. I also used different yellows and oranges with grey for the lights. On the second circle I used a mixtures if browns and golden colors for the skin town and different reds and browns for the eye makeup. The original image for the first circle was damn and the second circle the original image was a women's eye. The hardest part of this project was the mixing of colors, I felt the color pencils made it harder I wish I could have used paint. The strengths of this was actually drawing the images it wasn't so hard.

Metamorphosis (Bow to Butterfly)

I made this art piece because it was a required grade. The meaning of the bow is because I'm a cheer leader and the butterfly is because I think there pretty. When I am this art piece first I had to make made 8 squares for my drawings. Then I started with the wording. Next I started on the first square and then went to each square. For the whole project used coloring pencils for the whole project. This project means nothing to me, it was just something for me to do. I came up with this idea by me just trying to free hand a bow and it ended up looking like a butterfly.

Non Objective Painting

I made this project because I wanted to be different than the other splatter paintings. To make this, I I first painted the background with bright colors. Then I used the colors I painted with and splatter the paint all over the paper. This project doesn't mean much to me it was just fun to do.

Free Choice

I choice to do this because the art piece was simple yet had meaning to it.  The little meaning of it was the most important part of it.  To make this I only used my pencil to draw and shade.

Identity Box

The reason why I this identity box was, because it was a simple way to explain myself as a person.  It shows that I graduate in the year of 2014, that I'm a cheerleader.  These things are showed on the outside of the box. In the inside it has the things I don't care for and the things people don't know about me such as I hate spiders. I used a cross a a handle to show how I value my religion and last name. The materials I used to make this was cardboard, glue, tap, gesso, paint and markers.
